Dan Morphy cuts ribbon to launch newly expanded 36 000-sq -ft auction gallery
News-Antique.com - Jun 17,2011 - DENVER, Pa. – On Tuesday, June 14, Morphy Auctions’ CEO Dan Morphy cut the ribbon to launch his company’s newly expanded 36,000-sq.-ft. auction gallery and offices. Invited guests included executives from virtually all of the local firms that worked together to bring the project to fruition – from the senior VP of the bank that provided the financing, to the architect who conceived the design, to engineers and on-site supervisors who steered the concept toward its completion. The jewel in Morphy Auctions’ crown, however, is the stylish new saleroom with 110 comfortable theater-style seats, a polished faux-marble floor, decorative tin ceiling with chandeliers, and independent climate controls. The room’s purpose-built design enabled the latest telecommunications, wireless technology and acoustics to be installed as the room’s construction progressed. Dan Morphy said all features implemented into the saleroom’s design were selected after conferring with the project’s architect, Eldon Stoltzfus of Althouse, Martin & Associates; interior designer Laurie Collins, and Morphy’s auctioneers. “Our auctioneers are the ones who run the show during our auctions, so their input was very valuable to us,” said Morphy. “I can’t say enough about the professionalism of every company and individual involved in this project,” said Morphy. “This is the second time Greg Kline of Susquehanna Bank has gone to bat for us in providing financing, and it’s also the second time we’ve had the pleasure of working with Matt Mack of Ludgate Engineering. Our architect, Eldon Stoltzfus, interpreted our vision beyond all expectations, and as a result of our many conversations with Eldon along the way, we discovered that his daughter Kirah is a photographer.Faux Tin Ceilings - News

The Advantages of Using Fake Tin Ceiling Tiles | Decorative ...
If you are in the market for ceiling tiles, you may be wondering exactly what types of options are available for you to choose from when selecting your tiles. Whether you want to renovate the look of your kitchen, bathroom, basement, or commercial property, there are several great options that will allow you to polish your style. Every type of ceiling tile is usually created to withstand moisture and corrosive damage, but some are more durable than others. Metal ceiling tiles are the most susceptible to some type of corrosion, but there are several other suitable options that will add character and beauty to any space.
Beautiful Tin Ceiling Tiles
The most popular type of ceiling tile available is constructed of tin. Original tin tiles have a long history in North America, and there is now a collectors’ market for some of the classic tin tiles that were created long ago. While tin tiles create an extraordinary compliment to any space, there are also a number of other options to consider that are much less costly.
The Cost-Effective Alternative
Faux or fake tin ceiling tiles are sweeping through the market. They provide the same warm, inviting charm as a traditional tin tile at a fraction of the cost. Fake tin ceiling tiles can also be applied to a number of different surfaces to dramatically enhance the look of your ceilings or walls. While fake tin ceiling tiles are typically used on ceilings, it is also possible to apply them to walls for decorative effect. Fake tin ceiling tiles are often used to create photographic backdrops or other visual effects.
Enhance Your Space with Fake Tin Ceiling Tiles
Fake tin ceiling tiles are a great addition to any room in your home, restaurant, or commercial property. While most of the ceiling tiles available on the market are easy to install, you can install a fake tin tile in a matter of seconds. It is also very easy to work with these types of tiles, so you can have your entire ceiling covered very quickly. The installation process usually involves positioning the tiles and snapping them or attaching them to the ceiling. If your ceiling has been damaged in any way or there are unsightly stains or imperfections that you want to cover up, then fake tin ceiling tiles are not only beautiful, but they are also extremely cost-effective.
The cost factor is typically what motivates people to use fake tin ceiling tiles over tin tiles. They are substantially less expensive, and they make for a great DIY project in your home. Fake tin ceiling tiles can be purchased to dramatically improve the look of your space by adding character and charm with unique designs. Faux tin tiles are also very lightweight, and this makes them a pleasure to deal with. Faux tin is sometimes constructed from plastic, which gives it a lot of flexibility. This makes it easy to use in any area of the home, and it is a stunning decorative accent.
