Freddie – Lord's of the jungle
ANDREW "Freddie" Flintoff is set for his toughest innings yet - living with a remote tribe.The former England cricketer, whose heroics against Australia at Lord's in 2009 helped to clinch the Ashes, is in training for the trip to Botswana in southern Africa.
A camera crew will follow him for the first week as he lives with the locals and learns key survival tips.
The crew will then leave him to fend for himself with the tribe.
And he will be responsible for filming all the action on a hand-held camera.
A show source said: "This is the ultimate test for Freddie.
"He loves things that have a survival element to them, and this has that in buckets.
"It was his idea - he's really keen to do more TV. He loved doing the Freddie Flintoff Versus The World show for ITV."
Dad-of-three Freddie, 33, who has just got over a knee operation, is carving out a new career as a TV action man.
His adrenaline-fuelled Versus The World show, screened this year, saw him try some of the most extreme sports such as cliff-diving and paintball paragliding.
The new show is being lined up for ITV or the BBC. It will follow other similar formats from stars such as Bruce Parry, who has lived with remote tribes across the world for BBC2's Tribe.
To get the Ashes hero in the mood, TV Biz has mocked him up in tribal guise, left.
He retired from cricket last year after developing deep vein thrombosis in the knee.
